Just an update. Got the date approved. Tournament will be set with pdga by the end of the week. Pre-reg will be ready to go. I'd like to start pre-reg by second week of April. Origanally I was going make it for a total of 72 players but I'm going to 90. 45 AM's and 45 PRO's. Thank you goes to Jacob. The stamps on player pack discs are gonna look awsome.

Ok, we Attack of the wolfe is locked in with pdga. It should show up on the event calander asap. Not sure how long it takes. Pre-reg will be started a month before event. I will let club members register sooner. Flyer will be posted this weekend. I made the field a little bigger. It will allow for 45 am's and 45 pro's.

Pre-reg will be open by the end of the week. Flyer will be posted as soon as I figure out how to attach it the the forum board. Pre-reg will be available at the home page in the same manner as the dbl basket tournament, thru tournament central. I will have hole sponsorships as an option. Please help in anyway you can. Thanks

this should be awesome! dave, you could post up a list of course work you need done and we can try to take care of it before the event.

few thoughts:

OB:

We need to check rocks walls to see if all rope is intact.
There is rope out there now but some (esp by water) needs to be re-strung and detailed in the players program. (I have a version of Wolfe Course rules) (hole by hole)

or, just disregard rope by the Water and say play water by PDGA rules. (could be easier for the TD, might be way to go)

Speed of Play:

If you fill at 90 and have 5 somes in Wolfe woods, prepare for multiple backs ups and very very slow play.

Thanks cuts. I do have a list of things I was hoping to have done back there.

If we can get our hands on the cart from park crew I'd like to get some stone dust and add some to pads we already got. I would love to see pad work done on 8 short, and 12 short. We still have rubber pads on a few, if we can switch them to stone dust. Like holes 6,10 short,11 short,15 long, 16 short?, I know 9 short is but think that should be left like that. When it does get wet there it will just wash away stone dust.

I have plans to take care of fixing all ropes, I think they will only come into play on rock walls and erosion slope on 6. But I will use your rules and make a few adjustments if need be. I also am going to work with my buddy who adopted hole 12 to build a nice pad at short location.

Also i think i forgot to put it on the flyer. The 2 rounds will be one from all short pads, and the second will be all long pads. Minus hole 14 and 17 since there are none.

My (not even worth the) .02: make all the water on the course casual OB. This will prevent a lot of the flukieness, as well as speed up play significantly.

I'm fine with that sean. Makes sense. I'm gonna fix all of them anyway, needs to be done. The ropes along walls will be in play.

Let's talk at Buzzys monthly. Adam has great park relations and maybe they can help us with materials and gator. I think ob water is fine on most of them, but it gets weird on 6,9, and 10 .

Does anyone have the sign for the short tee on hole 9 it wasnt playable when we installed all the posts and signs
if we have it we should install a post and sign before attack of the wolf .If any one had a chipper there is alot of
wood down that could be chipped to build up the tee pad area so whenever we get rain it will be playable.

Judging by the way the this season is going, I doubt there will be any water in Wolfe Woods by event day.

Yes most likely the ropes along the walls will be the only ones in play. If you're in the water or over the walls you're o.b. I will have everything stated on the event program.

The pre-reg option is up . You can find it on the left of the screen. Towards the bottom just below calendar. I believe it will fill so get in it before you can't.

I just registered and there was not a place to put my PDGA #, which is going to be a hassle for you for reg so maybe you can tweak the pre-reg somehow to include a space for that? Mine is 17338.
Looking forward to this!!

I didnt see the Pre-reg. I dont know, I missed it I guess.

Please put Jeff Corbran - PDGA 52822 in for Advanced Masters. (MM1) always a bit confused on divisions. Here is a grid for reference.

I was definitely planning on playing this tournament but I have something else that has come up that weekend so now I'm up in the air on it. Bah! I'll post something on the BCDGA Facebook about the tourney, there are probably a bunch of people in that group who would be interested but just don't know about it.

Let's start hypeing this up!! I'll put a link to it on NEFA- people are probably not aware yet and lot's of NEFA'ites like to play this! If someone else is accessed to the other clubs north and south start posting this thread there please, I'll bet it will fill! We need a solid workday let's plan it. WW probably needs a little TLC but not back-breaking just some weed whacking I'll help and try to get the Parks guys onboard we just need some momentum now. We should make some water rules soon-let's get onboard if you have an hour folks!! Hole 6-final ruling once and for all before the tourney...please!! I say forget erosion issue play the water as surrounded OB on 6. Maybe an online vote??? Might be fun! :ching: :brooklyn:

I agree Adam...surrounded by water would be the easiest call for all players.

Dave, I'm planning on being there...I will sign up ASAP.

Thanks for TDing!

as much as I hate the rope on 6 I think for tourney play the entire stream should be roped off. That makes 6 a real challenge as we all try to park it on the top plateau. Miss it and it'll cost you a stroke. We play just solid water in casual rounds but for the Tourney maybe make it a little harder. :?: :?:

Final call is, I'm thinking that this tournament will fill putting 5 somes on every hole. We will be playing water. Only ropes in play are rock walls as O>B's.

Can someone post this tourney on as many DG sites out there as possible? I only deal with this and NEFA---bring some weedwhackers on the workday for 1 or 2 hours and we'll be set. Working with the Parks guys but a little local DG knowledge will make this sweet! ..off to deal with Animal now..

Hey guys. I'd like to get some people together for a work day Saturday the 16th. I think if we can put 3 hrs in it would be great. So my plans for the day. A little weed wacking if needed. There are a few tee pad boxs that still need some work. We get finished in 3 hours, than we could play a tag round and the crew has been invited to join the fun across the street for joe and becka's shindig. I hope a few of you can come and help and then have some fun

I have posted it with the club at beacon. We have flyers at hickory run, rampsey outdoor, f.e.w dam, dodo's disc golf shop. And I believe a few other clubs

You can still register. To the right side of the home page. You can play if you're not a pdga member, it will cost you and extra $10. All the prices are set up there. Pick a division and also the $10 non pdga fee.

Sorry to sound dumb. This would be my first tourney here. What do each of the categories mean? I believe I would be looking in the 35-20 buck range which I'm assuming are the lower divisions. What are the differences? Thanks for the help in advance!

AM3 is considered novice
AM2 is intermediate
AM1 is advanced

What do you typically shot silver to silver layout? Have you played the main course?

attention jcombest.......

i think it is fantastic whenever i become aware of new players willing to give formal tourneys a shot!

everyone in our club and regulars that post on this site at one time had trepidations about playing in their first few events.
we've all been there.

so i think almost to a man (and woman) players will take you under their wing and be more than happy to help you out in your first event. the "attack of the wolfe" is a great choice for players that have little or no tourney experience. altho players will be competing, it will still be a fun, social event.

so dont worry about asking questions about anything tourney-related. one of our missions as a club is to get more of the casual players that frequent our club's courses to become more involved.

I've been playing for years. I'm originally from Northern Va area but live in Westchester County now. I usually play at FDR, Cranbury Park, Leonard Park. I don't have a lot of people up here to play with (besides my GF) and was loking to expand my course list and maybe meet some people in the "NY" area who play.

I've never play at Wolfe Woods but Im excited about it and I'm trying to get out there before this event to get some time on the course in. I'm probably leaning more towards the recreational am bracket since Im just getting my feet wet. I'm actually really excited about this whole tourney thing. I also throw darts in a dart league in White Plains, NY and I've found that when I play with others who have similar/better skills than me, it brings my game up. So since moving up here and pretty much losing my DG crew (they still travel up and play here sometimes) I wanna get out and play with some peeps!

Any suggestions/tips for the course??
