START TIME 11:00

Pro-$20
AM-$15
REC-$5

PRO/AM play ALL longs tees, REC plays short tees.

Luke and I will be offering up the same deal with a lunch of:

Burger/Dog/Chips $6 ..and maybe a soda if it looks cost effective!

If we figure out a way for adult beverages to at least break even, that will happen too!

So come to the Wrassel in Wolfe Woods!!! (2 meter rule in effect)

BBQ on!

Luke and I will be offering up a Burger, dog and chips (maybe water or soda also) for the outrageously low price of $6!! (Good name brand stuff too, not store brand!)

Any profit goes back to club, so please stick around for some lunch and you'll still have time to play another round.

Also, I had some ace cash from a couple of monthlies mixed in with Warwick Tuesday dubs cash, and thats why I had more than I thought for course cash so it looks like best as I can figure:

ACE Pot starting @ $50

I'd like to have a couple of CTP's-I have a couple of things, if anyone else has something that would be appreciated.

This is the last Monthly of 2009 for single play, according to the points there are some close matches:

PRO

Jason Hannigan 369
CUTS 365
Keith McCormack 360
Charlie Holmgren 324

WOMEN

Maureen 367
Anne Yondo 100
Lesli 100

AM

Nick Szy 455
Jacob Najac 429
Steve Wanderling 259
Jay Sistler 230
REC

WEB 342
Cap't JByrd 317
Greg V. 315

JUNIORS

Zack Doyle

What do you get if you win?? Maybe next year....

sorry to be a party-crasher.....

it is major rifle hunting season in warwick. we've all seen tree stands in the woods surrounding wolfe woods. we've all heard rifle shots going off as we play the course.

playing wolfe woods right now is NOT safe. i would STRONGLY recommend that we not schedule an official club event on a course where we have identified a safety issue. if folks want to play on their own back there it's their business. if we organize something official it wouldn't be smart.

can we change the monthly to the Animal course on Sunday?

Yikes! I'm in no mood to get shot on Sunday.

If we change it to Animal, let's just not do Blue-Blue again, ok?

Dan I believe those days are long over...the only person almost shot was Jarod Hinton about 5 years ago(isn't that comforting, all?..he's OK)....this is a town park and disc golfers have staked the rightful claim as to recreation. This is not Alabama. Or even Pennsyltucky.

Game on...Sunday but thanks for the concern Dan. If someone shoots me, I will not sue you. At least not right away....

DISCLAIMER:

DAN DOYLE OR SKYLANDS FLYING DISC CLUB ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU GET SHOT ON THIS EVENT!!!!!THE FREAKIN" IDIOT THAT SHOT YOU IS!!! JUST DON"T WEAR DEER ANTLERS!!!!

It won't happen though, don't get alarmed. Didn't we go through this with B.O.B. a few years back???

Roach, don't even THINK about that hat with 2 beers and the tube going to your mouth---it could be mistaken for antlers!!!!

It is illegal to shoot within a certain radius of the public...if you see someone doing that in your eyesight at Town Park, they are in violation and subject to the full extent of the law and rightfully so---call on your cell phone and report the A-hole.

I don't know about the Hinton story but I really believe I am safer in Wolf Woods than I am at my own house during hunting season. I had to explain to my children 4-5 times last weekend that those gun shots near by were nothing to worry about. I don't feal any safer playing Animal than Wolf or staying home for that matter.

Game On.

Steve you are the voice of reason..so gunshots are near my house in Vernon, NJ also. I do not live my life in fear of a thing, so I will put this out there for those with kids or reason to fear:

You can trip over a sidewalk, get hit by a bus or happen to be on a plane hyjacked on 9/11 or fall over from a heart-attack.

Play this event at your own risk!!

All these years (about 10) no one has gotten shot. The Jarod thing was some idiot without teeth that thought HIS boundaries included a park that kids go to. Toothless idiots like that have been identified by people with an IQ over 100 and subsequently banished them from society..You can't stop that entirely...but a lot of us moved from Paterson/Passaic up here and changed it.

Has anyone ever gotten a threat besides Jarod out there? I'm not trying to sell anyone on anything. Let's hear the facts.

Game on..at your own risk and if someone shoots you they are responsible.

Then again I fix the ATM's in Paterson/Passaic that hold a lot of money. So maybe I'm less afraid of some nearsighted yahoo in Orange County.

So the official hunting rules for deer are you can't shoot in or through the town park, or within 500' of the boundaries (the rock walls).
I am not worried about it, but maybe wear orange/bright colors. We can fire up a chainsaw and scare the deer away!
I will announce at start a heads up to everyone.

Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty nice, mid 50's no wind!

It's all coming together! How's this for a deal?

1/4 pound burger/1 BallPark Frank/Handfull of WISE Chips/Can of Coke

--$6

As crazy as this sounds, Luke and I can make a profit for the club off this, if we get at least 15 people for lunch!

Let's get at least 25!!

Also, anyone arriving early, while it lasts free coffee. It CAN be spiked!!! :D

We need to drag a bench down to hole 1 WW from the lower pavillion Animal...I'll be there about 9:30. Not that big a deal but we need it!

Haha-
There was an 'O' next to your name indicating those that wanted to play together.

I'll probably have a few names misspelled on there.
