At the meeting last week we talked about year-end trophies and switching to plastic payouts for all Ams. And I think Roach volunteered to give lap dances to each month's winners.

Buzzy's 3/13/10
9:00 - 9:45 Reg
9:50 player's meeting
10:00 tee off

Pros - $20
Ams - $15
Rec - $10

First chance to get you 2010 Skylands Tag!

Your score counts towards the Monday night handicap league.
Stick around for a second round after the monthly that will also count for the handicap league.

Will there be snow? Sun? Mud?

what more could you ask for?

Now I've got a delemma!

I'll be in training for my job the week before in Ohio, and there is a B tier in Columbus at Hoover Dam that I can play in on the 13th, same day as Buzzbag opener!

I takes about 7.5 hours to get back to Jersey from Canton, which means I'd be home 2:00 in the morning to play Buzzbag, or stay overnight and play a B tier then drive home the next day. Looks like I may be missing the opener!

Rev, change the date. It's all about me.

That's only TWO WEEKS AWAY!!!

Adam (and others who won't be there): If you can't make the Buzzy's Monthly on 3/13, there will be other chances to do qualifying rounds for the handicapped league so that you're ready go go on the 22nd.

I just found the $78 for the ace pool from last year. Think we'll get another $22 so you can hit a hundred dollar ace next saturday?

That's not quite right.

$25 is for club membership, which gets you a tag

For the monthly, it's $20, $15 or $10 to play, depending on your level. See the post above.

Forecast calling for 100% chance of heavy rain, it's lookin like a game time decision. If we decide to put or tails between our legs, could we do it on a weekday evening at a 5-5:15 start time. Daylight savings is this weekend.

Next Sunday is the Campgaw Mudbowl so i'm pretty sure that's out.
Week nights are going to cut into the turnout.

I'm still looking at this Saturday being the Buzzy's Floodbowl.
we've played in snow, we've played in wind, we've played in the blistering sun, and we've played in the pouring rain.

I know a bigger turnout sweetens the pot, but if only 9 people show up then I have a real shot at single digit tag number

I'm only seeing an 80% chance of wind and rain.

I'll post by 9pm tomorrow if I'm gonna postpone the monthly but for now i'm staying dig out your gortex underpants cause it's gonna be a wet one.

Fourteen maniac's descended upon Buzzy's today. They did so with a fury greater than the rain and winds and cold that tried to hold them back. As if to say, "We may not be smart, and we may not be good looking, but DAMNED IF WE WON'T PLAY DISC GOLF... RAIN OR SHINE!"

I much appreciated everyone dumb enough to come out and play today.

Weather was a factor
winds- 20 -35mph
temps- upper 30's lower 40's
rain- constant and driving 1" - 2" expected

how it played out:
Pros
Scowskirt - 60
Healy with the tags - 64
Andy "DELUGE IN" Frioli - 66
Jasson "workboots or merils?" Hanigan - 67
Chris Martin - 70

Ams
Derek "tag 1" Hall - 57
Scott "left with out his prize" Bandreamer - 63
Greg "dressed in blue" Van Nest - 65
The Invisible Donnie Collins - 66
JByrd - 69
Jeff C - 78
Dave Hegi - 78
me dfl - 80

Rec
WEB - 69

When's April's?

All I gotta say is this:
Damn what a bunch of dedicated disc golfers I had the pleasure of sharing a great round with today, all you guys rock.

Im sure Derek's newly owned coveted #1 tag will leave the rest of you "dont wanna get wet" skylanders in the hunt! =P~

He EARNED IT TODAY WITH A 57 IN GAIL WINDS AND RAIN!

Aye, he must have been a sailor in one of his past lives...

Aye.

Good time today! My fingertips were so cold I couldn't stay for disc "prize" but Rev, if you want to pull a valkyrie or sidewinder or aviar out of the box (if available) that would be cool. Otherwise, no biggie. I got what I came for...

That wind, and rain, and mud, and lake ice (that dared me to walk out there to claim my red sidewinder on hole 16 but I was having no part of that) was just another day at Buzzys...it was great.

See you all again...thanks Rev and Greg...

fellow fools........in hindsight, I guess we could have cancelled this one. However due to constraints in future schedules, we went for it. Shot the worst game of my short lived DG carreer and still placed !?!?!?!? do I get any plastic for my awesome 78!?! I car pooled with Derek and he said he moving out of state today......you'll never see that "1" tag again.........thanks all, it was worth the effort.

DGscene rocks-we have monthlies, tournies, handicap league on there. I want to try to incorporate Warwick dubs on there when I get a chance.

I figure the more you spin my DG scores, somehow I'll wind up on top in some category!

Andy, thanks for posting the scores to DGScene. In case you want to update, Rob C is Rob Coulton and I'm registered on DGScene under that name.
