At the last meeting the Club decided to bring the Points Series to new level. We want to provide end of season rewards to the top finishers in each division. We decided that a traveling "Points Series Champion" trophy for each division would be cool.
We are looking for ideas for these very prestigious awards. They need to be durable and stand the test of time since they will be past on for centuries to come. They also need room for winners names on them.
We are looking for 4 Trophies for the Skylands Point Series- Professional, Amateur, Recreational, And Women's Champion. Maybe a Junior trophy also.
In addition to winning the coveted Skylands Points Series Trophy, we talked bout awarding the winner a nice Skylands Points Series shirt with their name on it to show off and cherish for eternity.
Maybe we buy some nice ones from a trophy shop, maybe someone could make them, maybe someone could donate them, etc...

Any Ideas?

We have till November to come up with something.

Looking around online, it seems that we want a "perpetual" trophy of some sort. Those are the ones that have places to add engraved names.

I like this one, myself. $58.

a medium grade practice basket and then the names get engraved on the number plate, that way you get extra practice for the year that you hold the title. i know that's on the pricey end of things but it's an idea.

Medals like the Olympics or "Buzzy Bling" with a disc containing the names of the winners. Pro Gold, Am1 Silver, Am2 Bronze. Of course women get Platinum

it's hard to see exactly what's on these but it seems like an inexpensive (free) way to make a neat trophy.

Maybe Dan can give us 4 fairly large polished metal circles? Maybe 8 in diameter.
We can then get them ingraved with the club name and division title on the top, or center, then leave the rest open for the winners.
It would be a disc thats passed from one player to the other each year for each division. :ching:
