....knowing that any profit will go toward the club?

Luke and I for the Wolfe Woods monthlies charged $6 for a good burger, dog, chips and soda or water, plus whatever extras were brought by generous volunteers.

We made the mistake of adult beverages the first time and lost money.

The first time we did it, we about broke even because we had to buy initial stuff like paper plates/charcoal/untensils/mustard/ketchup/saurkraut/etc.

The second monthly, we had leftovers frozen from the last time (bought in bulk from BJ's) so we made a profit, about $90.

We had the same turnout each event which were the biggest out of the monthlies, maybe in part because you could play the monthly, eat lunch without having to leave and play some more.

So I would at least like to raise it to $7 but would $8 be too high? We are doing this not only for the fun but to raise cash for equipment, it helped to buy that brush trimmer big time.

Between making cash off this and the course cash $1 fee from doubles we raised several hundred dollars and now have a good arsenal of equipment, and could use more.

So..$8 too much? Also, would this fly at Buzzbag or other monthies?

Adam, I appreciate you and Luke doing this in support of the club.

Honestly, though, I doubt I'll stick around for this very often. By the time the monthly is over, I'm usually ready to hit the road, especially if it's on a Sunday. I've got family stuff to do, lesson plans to write, etc. That's one think I like about the monthlies, actually, that it doesn't take the entire day.

With that said, I'd say $7 seems about right. If I hit Burger King on the way home, that's about what I'll pay.

Ok-honest answer but a majority of those showing up were able to stick around, and as far as Burger King, you'd about pay that anyway nowadays for the ratmeat they serve you.
Now I'm not knocking Burger King, but you can pay $6.50 for that value meal loaded with saturated fat in that rat-burger they scraped the accidental cockroaches that fell in the fryer off of, or get a meal that not only you know is cooked by someone that cares and is clean, but benefits you and your disc golf course as well.
Bon Appetite!

i'd say that's a fair price - if i was really hungry, i'd pay $10!

i would also volunteer to make brownies or cookies to sell as a fundraiser if you let me know in advance :-)

good idea boys.

Too much saturated fat-sorry I have to save you from yourself. Trust me, lettuce instead. Miniature titanium Chinese handcuffs in your heart sucks big time!

OK, extra cheese then.... and pickle chips!

$7 is totally fair, and as long as you advertise it people may not bring their lunch, knowing Micky Gees burger extravaganza is on the menu! =P~
