A huge tree came down on 17's fairway on the left side, close to where the old pin was. It knocked the tops off of two other smaller trees, which landed on 17's basket. The basket is still standing, but it's bent and covered with downed trees--totally unplayable right now.

I'll bring my basket (buzzy's quality) and place near the old 17 position. If anyone has a better basket or better suggestion, i'm open to hear it.

I'll bring my chainsaw. Maybe we can do a quick clean up before the round. How bad does the basket look?

From what I could see, just the top part that holds the chains is bent a bit. If you got the trees off, it's probably not too bent to play. Not sure how long it will take you to cut and drag what fell, though, it's a lot.

Yea, i was thinkin if it was that monster tree to the left of the old pin position, it might be a lot to handle. Maybe after the round.

The monster tree isn't on top of the basket, just in front of it. It knocked the top off of two pine trees and a bunch of other branches, which all fell on the basket. By top of the trees, I mean the top 20-30 feet, not just some branches.

I'm thinking it's going to take a few hours for several people to move all this, not even touching the monster tree.

I called the town, got transfered to the dpw/road dpt., the receptionist took and info and said they'd take a look at it.

I haven't made it over yet, so i don't know what's still there. It's up to you. I was going to survey tonight and then go back tomorrow to do some clean up.
I'm stilling bringing my basket to play old 17 if needed.

i might. if we had some glow sticks we could use your glue sticks to adhere them to the baskets. grammar aside i would think 10 is way more than enough, just move 1 to the hole on which you're playing. i'm gonna see if i can pick up some LEDs and batteries on my way over to Buzzy's.
