YES! Finally a WW event again! Lots of new enthusiasm and a good chance for us all to evaluate what cool things we want to happen in WW now that it is a 4 season course!

We'll shoot for 10:00 A.M., and I'd like to have another BBQ as tradition. We could use a little more fund raising for the cost of the new 9/10 bridge.

We average around 30 for WW monthlies, hopefully we get the same turnout or even better!! Good month for Warwick, A-fest followed by WW!

Wolfe Woods Monthly coming up quick!!

Same rules as the other monthlies:

10:00 start, 1 round mostly long tees depending on playability.

PROS $20

AM $15

REC $10

Gonna do the BBQ thing again so some idea of how many will show would be cool, WW monthlies usually are around 30 in attendance.

Toys for Roachs' Double Basket Double Doubles can be recieved for Roach to donate to the battered women's shelter also. Good cause, hopefully we can put a smile on a kids face at Christmas that has some bad cards in life dealt to him/her.

BBQ donation jar will be on site-eat after the round without having to leave the course and play another round on either course. Any profit will go directly to improving WW.

Hey Nick, I think the propane tank you gave us is getting light, can you get another one where you work?

Hey all, if you didn't get fat enough after your Thanksgiving definitely stick around for the BBQ after the monthly! Luke Tanner is making his world famous delicious pulled pork you all love. We'll throw together a pretty good feast!

It won't get better than this the last day of a holiday weekend!! DG-good food-the best courses in the North East!!!!

Even if you can't make the Monthly, show up around 12:30 or 1:00, enjoy the BBQ and donate if you can. Times are tough, if you can't donate it's OK just show up, eat then play a round on the great course of your choice!

Looks like I may have to drive up for the day again, I've never actually made it out for a monthly. Too bad I have to drive back and forth on Thursday for Thanksgiving as well. I need a teleporter set up at Warwick so I can just beam my ass up there, that'll be the day.

Good idea. I think there is a 4x4 laying in the grass right there by the pad. I have some pieces of re-bar we could use to secure it into the ground.

In. bringing loppers, machete, hand saw, pole saw? and gloves - i was take out some prickers after the round. I was also thinking i could widen 7's fairway pretty significantly with just loppers - take a look when you play sunday, i'm sure you'll see what i mean.

I think there are four 6 x 6's at hole 1 isn't there? I can bring a 4 x 4 if needed I have laying around.

BTW our good loppers are MIA, anyone know the whereabouts? They are the red ones with extendable handles.

Roach, what did you have in mind as far as bringing something? Would be great!

I was just at the course to hang some flyers, there is a 4 x 4 there. I'll bring a saw so we can cut it to size. Be nice to get 5 long tee in also.
It looks like the woods off animal 15 short tee the left just past ww entrance have been cleared of brush and mulched, I dont think that was like that at a-fest. Also, recently they leveled to right of the stream off ww 2 short tee, probably so they can get mowers to 4. It also looks like they cleared brush off 2's long tee, I dont remember it looking that good.

OK everything is in order-I think this will be the layout, as many longs as possible:

1) L
2)L
3)L
4)L
5)L
6)S
7)L
8)-
9)L
10)L
11)L
12)L
13)L
14)-
15)L
16)S only because I like it better
17)-
18)L

I think these are are playable, right?

Throw off at end of round for 12 pack of Yuengling to the mini basket my Mom found at a garage sale for $1!!! Hopefully Roach will officiate it and be on his heckling A-game!!

I sure wish I could be there tomorrow. Instead I'm stuck in the never ending hell of thanksgiving at the inlaws in Virginia.

At least I've been able to play some golf at a couple courses down here.

Play well everyone. I'll be thinking about you as I drive home tomorrow.

I'll take that yes as a yes.

I'm thinking you get to throw `1 mini from hole 1 tee and mini basket will be set close to the creek. If you are under 21, someone will buy those brewskies for about 5 bucks.

Thanks everybody, we had 31 at the Monthly, great weather and good times!
Thanks Luke and Roach for food and help, Mike Canino for beverages, Tony Forder for chair for the CTP mini backet contest and Dave Huber for payout help.
I'll post results later when I get a break from work.

We made $84 profit from BBQ, and travelling Ace now at $207.

Definitely a good dry run for a C tier, there are issues that have to be corrected, negative feedback in this case is appreciated as far as the course so we have time to correct it.

I don't understand some of the OB on 6: the rock wall on the right of basket has some rope and broken string that i think we all play as OB, but before the basket the rope makes a left at the creek bank (i thought it was supposed make a right and head back towards the long tee, well to the right of it). I don't know where the corner is or where 'it went out' when i (see somebody) shank one to the right, landing behind the rock wall but never passing over the OB string/rope. as it's roped now only the green is in bounds, and both tees and everything before the creek is out. fix it.

i love wolfe woods!

That's the number 1 situation that will be fixed. 18 out of 31 people were OB there-over half the field. For tournament and from now on in monthlies it will be a drop zone with no penalty if you don't clear the bank, and water there will be casual. Park boundary still OB but cleary defined with that thick rope.

the left turning rope is for erosion control. from the rope to the NEAR side of stream, closest to the tee, is OB.

the left turning rope is for erosion control. from the rope to the NEAR side of stream, closest to the tee, is OB.

sounds good; the park boundary has corner (according to the map) but the rockwall and rope are missing, so i think that just needs new rope. a dz might be good too.

I didn't mean that you had to land next to the basket and all other shots are from the drop zone. I saw 2 very unfair situations, tee shot hittng basket, rolling down bank on land mass basket side of creek, and another shot landing on that big land area at the foot of the bank also. That is what will be defined, there was no real way to accurately call OB. One way is to make the water casual, anything from the rope on top to the tee side of creek is drop zone. Left and right of that area will be defined somehow.
We could also build a retaining wall on that bank, but probably would realistically not happen.

Great event! This was my first tourney up here in NY. I hadn't played Wolfe for a couple of years and man you guys did some awesome work back there. Played a really fun round with Jeff C, Mike, and Web. Great meeting all of you! I'll definitely be looking out for more tourneys in area. See y'all on the course

Def good times Sunday, thanks for the food and beverages.

For hole 6 I would suggest getting rid of the ob rope entirely(except for the park boundary) and just call the water casual on that hole. No drop zone necessary. All those unlucky OB's suck.
