Jeff Corban and aye will be Co-TDs for this event. We want to have a BBQ as well. I have another 3 burner gas grill to donate to the club, so we will have 2 club grills there. I can only bring up 1 tank of gas.
Can someone else bring a full tank?

Rec - $10

Sign in starts @ 9 AM, 10 AM Meeting, 10:15 Tee Off

just a bunch of small stuff, not really a work day, just an hour or two of grooming select areas. I will make a list.

The course is so well groomed year round but if a couple of DG'ers, myself one of them weedwhack the fine tuning around the edges it makes a difference. Thanks to the Parks guys for making our lives easy!!
Cuts, contact me for something we may need that I can relay to them. One of them mowing maybe Thursday and Friday before the event if they can.

I played S to S this past weekend and noticed the following

The garbage can on 4 is overflowing. We need to weedwack fairways 3, edges of 5 S and B baskets, 6 long especially the left side of the B basket, all of 11 fairway, 14 B basket, 15 long tee area.
These areas are not "bad" by any means because the Parks Comm guys I think have been doing it. I was up there a month ago and 11 was beautiful. Its amazing how 11 and 12 have matured into beautiful fairways, and its because of their work. Again my hats off to the park guys.

On another note I gave a Skylands Tee to one of the guys last year, but I dont know if ALL of them have received one. If anyone deserves these tees its the park guys. Adam, do you know if the others were given tees?

If anyone needs any more motivation to spend the day warming up for the WDGC and karma building workday at Warwick, we are hosting a paella party/our daughter Kai's first birthday party at 5pm at our farm across the street.

There is a local Ultimate tournament in Middletown so a few teams (mens/womens/co-ed) will be camping out. Hope to see you all there.

After a long summer of not playing golf at all because of work, I tried to come out of hiding to the tune of the Michigan State Disc Golf Championships. I qualified for AM 1 on Friday only to flounder over the weekend to finish 86th out of 100 and 45 strokes out of first.... barely missed cash. I will be making my glorious return to the Skylands scene this weekend. I will be sporting a new turbo putting style, an unimproved backhand and enough sidearms and tomahawks to make j-birds arm hurt. A couple pork tenderloins will be shared and beers will be had. Is the monthly a dog friendly event? I am good either way, just curious.

I'll have $20 WDGC Fundraiser discs for dale. The profit from these discs goes directly into the AM and Pro events. Champ Roc III's and Champ Shark III's.

After the monthly, If you can spare any time at all, we would appreciate it. We want to do some minor clearing and dragging. Feel free to weed wack and groom greens or, help us drag and clear two areas on holes 3 and 6. Thanks.

All, In speaking with Roger who is running the fall league we decided to combine the two events for this day.
So here's how it will work. Same fees but combined.
1 round. Blue to Silver.
1. You have to play the monthly in order to play the league. (Monthly fee + League fee)
2. You dont have to play the league to play the monthly. ( Monthly Fee only)
3. This will be a Skylands Tag Round, SO BRING EM.

Any questions please post them! :?:
Looks like great weather for the weekend Crew

~ So who else is bringing chow? :-D
~ I only can bring 1 tank of gas! Who else can bring a tank?

JByrd and anyone else interested, can you meet me up at Warwick before the monthly? I want to walk through holes 2-7 and show you what we need to clean up before the Tournaments. I plan to be up there real early Sat doing work. I have to hit the road at 2pm for Family obligation so I want to get some work done prior. Id love to show you some pin placement ideas.

OK Folks we have some added information about the work day and the BBQ.

Instead of having the BBQ right after the Monthly we are going to have Pizza for folks that will be helping out on the course prep\work day. (Courtesy of Skylands Flying Disc Club). We'll put in about 2 to 3 hours of work and quit at 4 PM.

Dan has gracefully invited us to have the BBQ across the street at the Oasis! So the BBQ will be held there @ 4 PM =D> =D> =D>
Thank You Dan!

Yes! We're advertising a 5pm start but earlier to help would rock. There might even be a few playable holes.

Charlie's band is lined up and we had a huge harvest tonight, other details above.

Hope to see you all there.

Thanks to everyone that played the monthly, we had 23 players and 22 tags cross hands. Weather was beautiful, with a little bit O fall wind in the fairways. Here are the results.

Pro:
Craig Cutler - 55
Jason Hannigan - 56
Danny Rosanna - 57
Sean Healy - 59
Adam McGehey - 78

Am:
Bobby Erinhofer (Boom Boom) - 57
Mike Padham - 61
Roger Vranak - 61
Dave Huber - 63
Chris Glucoski - 63
Dan McCormick - 63
Rich E. - 63
Jeff Corban - 64
Braxton Showalter - 64
Jeff Padham - 64
Kenny R. - 66
Billy Padavino - 69
Greg Van Nest - 71

Rec:
Scott E. – 68 (Won Playoff)
Jbyrd Roosa – 68
Steve Parrot - 68
Josh L – 76
Tom F. - 79

I also want to thank the 12 players that helped with the work day! I don’t have every ones names yet, I’m working on it. One thing is for sure… We got a LOT accomplished!!! This was a great work day turnout and I hope to see these types of contributions from more players in the future. Holes 5, 6, and 14 were cleaned up removing underbrush and overgrown tree branches to get ready for the Warwick Disc Golf Championships! Im not sure if Holes 3 and 4 were cleaned up ( They were on the list, but I didnt get back there to see what was done, I was on 14)
We all play our courses, and we all need to chip in to keep them beautiful and playable.
Also want to thank Becca, Joe, and Dan for a great after monthly \ Kai's first birthday party!
Great food, Great band, Great people.
